About Fred


Fred A Musser Jr was born January 21, 1939 in Indiana, Pennsylvania to parents Fred Musser Sr and Dorothy Musser. After growing up in Indiana, he graduated from the University of Miami with a business degree in 1961. Upon graduation, Fred went on to work at the family business, Musser Forests Incorporated. He began working full time for the business in 1963 eventually achieving the title of Vice President.

In 1988 upon the passing of his father, Fred Musser became president of Musser Forests. Throughout the 1990’s, Fred expanded the growth of the company increasing the sale of Christmas Trees, potted plants, seedlings, and ball and burlap trees. Musser Forests at one time had been called the largest nursery of its kind in the world. Fred continues to hold the seat of president and oversees the day-to-day operations of the business to this day.

Fred Musser also had a passion for big game hunting. He holds the record for the second largest Dahl ram in the world. Fred Musser is married to Ellen Applebee Musser and has four children, Mark, Jeff, Freddy, and Kevin.
