2016 Indiana County Business Hall of Fame Inductees

Indiana, PA – The Indiana County Chamber of Commerce at its annual member luncheon today announced the 2016 class of inductees for the Indiana County Business Hall of Fame.

Chamber Board of Directors Chairman Greg Sipos with First Commonwealth Bank made the announcement during his comments.

“We are pleased to again have another great class of individuals selected for induction into the Indiana County Business Hall of Fame,” Sipos said. “Indiana County is fortunate to have so many deserving people committed to improving and growing our business community. This year’s class is a great representation of that successful effort.”

The Hall of Fame selection committee voted and stack ranked all of the nominees in two categories, living and deceased. The following individuals are those who ranked the highest and will represent the second class of the Hall of Fame in 2016:

Deceased:
  • Edward K. Bratton - Longtime owner with his partners of the Indiana Giant Eagle and significant community supporter
  • Robert D. “Bob” Duggan – Former president and CEO S&T Bank Corporation
  • Andrew J. Kuzneski, Jr. - Founder of the Kuzneski Financial Group
Living:
  • Jacob Creps - Managing partner of Creps United Publications
  • Steve Wolfe - President and CEO of the Indiana Regional Medical Center
Chairman’s Selection:
  • State Senator Don White (Each year, the existing Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce may select a business, politician or civic leader to be honored and inducted into the Business Hall of Fame. This selection should have made a significant impact on the economic advancement of Indiana County through such criteria as employment, infrastructure, civic involvement, etc.)
“Don has, throughout his life and career as a state senator, had a profound impact on improving the business community in Indiana County and our region,” Sipos said.

The second class of inductees will be officially entered into the hall during a formal dinner at the Kovalchick Complex next June. The Business Hall of Fame is located on the wall near the ticket counter in the Kovalchick Complex lobby.

Nominations submitted but not selected for the Hall of Fame will be kept by the Chamber of Commerce for a period of 5 years from the date of application. These nominations will be included each year along with the new applications for selection into the Business Hall of Fame.
